Who am I to speak
about the things
that I am about to speak of?
While I’ll have to confront the fact
that this work will
misrepresent and misinform
that it's unavoidable
a result of reduction
and my limitations
Still I must continue
as the blankness of maps
from this place and period
provokes me immensly
As if history had passed
through the whole of a continent
during tens of thousands of years
and only left a few marks and stories
reminding of human organisation
worth to include in a general history
of mankind
I do not however claim to possess
the true story or the right picture
what I’m basically doing here
is filling gaps in my knowledge
